Short description:
JazzCats (Jazz Collection of Aggregated Triples) is a resource for studying jazz artists, their performances, and professional networks. The project harnesses semantic web technologies and Linked Open Data to connect information about jazz, including discographies, solo transcriptions, and information about artists. The project workflow has seen us ingest existing RDF from other projects, connect to external authorities and datasets, and produce RDF from from tabular data, and relational databases. JazzCats is a functioning proto-type of a proof-of-concept, and we welcome all feedback and suggestions for improvements.
